‘House Of The Dragon’ To Get Shorter Season 2 As HBO Series Eyes Season 3 Greenlight

HBO's House of the Dragon will have a shorter second season with only eight episodes, compared to the ten episodes in the first season   However, the network is considering a green light for a third season. Production for season 2 is set to begin in   the   UK with a tentative release date in the summer of 2024 KING AND QUEEN  Initially, HBO did not disclose the episode count for the second season when it was renewed last summer, leading to speculation that it was due to cost-cutting measures   However, an HBO spokesperson clarified that the decision to have eight episodes was due to story-driven reasons   The show's creative team had originally planned for the series to run for three or four seasons, and they are currently considering the optimal number of seasons needed to tell the entire story   Executive producer-showrunner Ryan Condal and author/executive producer George R.R.
